Holiday exemption

Joint Labour Commissioner M.N. Varahala Reddy has exempted the shops and establishments in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam from the provisions of Section 12 (1) of AP Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 from observing a holiday during Sankranti. The employers have to give extra wages or compensatory off subject as per condition.
