‘Prepare beneficiaries’ list’

Belgaum: The State Government has directed the authorities concerned to accord priority to providing housing facility under various schemes to the needy during gram sabhas and ward sabhas to be held in the district from January 5 to 20.

The Government has directed the authorities to prepare a list of beneficiaries and submit it to the taluk and zilla panchayats. Since the Government has accorded priority to distribute houses under the Ashyra scheme during this financial year, the authorities should take special interest in ensuring that a large number of families living below the poverty line participated in the sabhas, a press release issued here on Saturday said.
