Lucknow: Three alleged criminals were gunned down by Uttar Pradesh police in Sarojininagar area in the wee hours on Sunday. During routine checking, four persons who were travelling in a van tried to dodge the police, but were surrounded by the personnel near Shaheed path, police said. They fired at the police and in the ensuing encounter three of them, including Ghulam Gaus, were killed while one escaped. The identity of two other deceased is yet to be ascertained, they said.
