Medininagar: A police constable was injured in an encounter with Maoists at Kusa village in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Sunday, a senior police officer said here. The Maoists were lying in wait near the village when a joint operation against them was launched by the police and CRPF personnel, the officer said. As soon as the police reached the spot, the Maoists fired at them, injuring constable Mahadev Oraon in his stomach, Superintendent of police Udayan Kumar Singh said.
