Schools closed due to cold wave

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Government has announced a two-day holiday for students up to Class VIII studying in its schools in view of the extreme cold wave conditions. The schools will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday. In a statement issued on Sunday, Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh said an advisory has been issued to other schools as well. MCD Standing Committee chairman Vijender Gupta has announced closure of MCD schools in the city up to January 11. MCD schools will now reopen on January 12.
