New scheme for students

NEW DELHI: Now a student can move from one educational institution to another midway and complete the academic programme. The Distance Education Council launched the credit transfer scheme from January 1 this year, announced Indira Gandhi National Open University Vice-Chancellor V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai. He is also Chairman of Distance Education Council. The scheme is open to other open universities and higher education institutions after entering into an inter-institutional agreement for credit transfer. The main aim of the scheme is to allow learner mobility and pave the way for seamless education.
