THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Forest Department will allow up to 100 trekkers to climb the Agasthyarkoodam hills in the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary daily from January 14 to February 23. The trekkers will have to obtain permission from the Thiruvananthapuram Wildlife Warden. He will issue the passes from January 8 at his office located at PTP Nagar in the city. There should not be more than three members in a team, a release from the Forest Minister’s office said. The team leader should submit applications to the Wildlife Warden giving the names and addresses of the trekkers and copies of identity cards. The permit carries a fee of Rs.200 a member.
