ALAPPUZHA: Food and Civil Supplies Minister C. Divakaran has said that the State is willing to buy food grains from the Union government at the price at which the Centre procures these from other States. Speaking at a State-level launch of the State Poultry Development Corporation’s ‘Poultry Village’ project at Kanichukulangara near here on Sunday, Mr. Divakaran said the State was ready for ‘friendly relationships’ with the Centre and to stop the ongoing mutual confrontations. The Poultry Village project was aimed at enhancing egg production in the State as part of the Food Security Mission. The project envisaged one cow, one goat, five hen and two ducks for every household, at a total cost of Rs.10 crore, he added.
