Thrissur: The Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies will field candidates in all Lok Sabha seats in Kerala in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, State president of the party P. K. Krishnadas said here on Sunday. He told reporters after the BJP State committee meeting that formation of a third front in Kerala, led by the BJP, was under consideration. He said that parties and organisations that were dissatisfied with the United Democratic Front and the Left Democratic Front would be part of the front, but refused to reveal details. “Soon something concrete will emerge.” Asked whether certain State BJP leaders had expressed inability to contest elections, he said that details of selection of candidates would be announced by the party central committee. He said the BJP would bring out a vision document on the State’s development. Rapid development“Under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, the State had witnessed rapid development. The State has suffered under the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, though it was supported by Left parties. The Congress should bring out a White Paper on how far the State has developed under a Union government headed by leaders such as A.K.Antony, E.Ahamed and Vayalar Ravi.” The political climate in Kerala, he claimed, was congenial for the BJP to make gains in Lok Sabha elections. The party would hold conventions in Lok Sabha constituencies in the State from January 20 to February 5.
