Shastri SC holds BDL

Shastri Soccer Club rallied well to hold Bharat Dynamics Ltd to a one-all draw in the SAAP Budweiser Premier League football championship at Gymkhana Grounds here.

BDL took the lead when striker Amulraj positioned himself for a perfect cross from the left-flank by Alamdar Raza to find the target in the 51st minute. However, BDL joy was shortlived as within three minutes, it’s own defender Rakesh in his anxiety to clear the ball ended up in deflecting it into the goal to the delight of the Shastri camp.

In another match, City College Old Boys and Accountant General (AP) were locked in a goalless draw.

Left-in Ashwin Kumar struck a brace and right-out M. Atish Kumar and right-in M. Rajesh Babu one each to complete the tally for the winners.
