Engineer killed in accident

NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old engineer was killed when his car rammed into a Delhi Traffic Police truck in the Civil Lines area here on Sunday.

Poornia Anand, a resident of Karol Bagh, was returning home in his Santro car when his vehicle collided head-on with the traffic police breakdown truck in the early hours of Sunday. Poornia was declared brought dead at Sushruta Trauma Centre in Kashmere Gate. He worked at a call centre in neighbouring Gurgaon.

“He was coming from the wrong direction and rammed his car into the truck. He probably did not see the truck approaching because of dense fog,” said a senior police officer.

The car involved in the accident belonged to elder brother of Poornia.
