BUSINESS AS USUAL: Though lorry owners in the State joined the nation-wide strike on Sunday, trucks operated as usual in Hassan on Monday. They transported goods within the district. Lorry traffic on the national highway passing through the district and on Madikeri, Belur and Halebeedu roads was normal. Lorry owners said they had not received any communication from the association president. They would complete delivering consignments today, they said. If directed to go on strike, they would stop operating from Tuesday, they said.
