Delhi enters semifinals

BHILAI: Delhi played a goalless draw with Chandigarh and qualified for the semifinals of the 45th National junior football championship on Monday.

Delhi finished second in group ‘B’ behind Jharkhand. It had beaten Uttar Pradesh and lost to Jharkhand.

In group ‘A’, Manipur beat Meghalaya 1-0 to top the group. Meghalaya also qualified as the second team.

In the semifinals, Delhi will play Manipur on January 7, and Jharkhand will face Meghalaya on January 8. The final is scheduled for January 10.
