Easy for Young Lions Club

Bangalore: Young Lions Club defeated BEL Colony Recreation Club by six wickets in a KSCA Group I, fourth division league cricket semifinal here recently.

In another semifinal, Cavaliers CC defeated Jayanagar United Cricketers by 53 runs. Both Young Lions Club and Cavaliers CC earned a promotion to the next season’s third division.

The scores: Semifinals: BEL Colony RC 198 in 53.3 overs (Gopinath Sandra four for 50, Santhosh Kumar four for 89) & 142 for nine in 30 overs lost to Young Lions Club 209 in 54.3 overs (R. Samarth 67, G. Beerappa four for 51, R. Kishan four for 58) & 136 for four in 26.5 overs.

Cavaliers CC 195 in 52.2 overs (Deepak Ugrappa 65, Pradeep four for 67) & 204 for six in 30 overs (Deepak Ugrappa 60, Jagdish 48, Suresh Babu 48) bt Jayanagar United Cricketers 191 in 49.4 overs (Shai Bal 51) & 155 in 26.5 overs (Mukesh five for 23).
