Tarun Sangha posts win

NEW DELHI: Two second-half goals helped Tarun Sangha register a 2-0 win over Indian Air Force (Palam) in a Group ‘B’ preliminary league match of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) annual senior division open clubs championship at the Ambedkar Stadium, here on Monday.

Nigerian Figo capitalised on a fine move from the right to draw first blood in the 44th minute. Inside-left Allaffudin Ahmed scored the second goal in the 81st minute.

Tarun Sangha got three points from this match to increase its tally to 10 points from four matches. IAF (Palam) is yet to open its account.

In a Group ‘A’ match, Shahdara defeated Indian Air Force (New Delhi) 1-0. Nigerian Chidi Kumanoul’s left flank placement found the net in 64th minute to give Shahdara three points.

Shahdara has six points from three matches, while IAF (New Delhi) has none from four games.
