Lorries stay off roads

PUDUCHERRY: The Pondicherry Lorry Owners Association, Pondicherry Lorry Owners and Booking Agents Association and Pondicherry Goods Transporters Association have decided to go on an indefinite strike in support of the strike announced by the All India Motor Transport Congress, Delhi, from Monday.

The associations urged the Central government to take immediate steps to look into their demands, which included reduction in price of diesel and tyres, said a release. – Staff Reporter
