Ornaments stolen

Karwar: Silver ornaments worth Rs. 77,000 were stolen from Sri Raghavendra Math at Habbuwada area of Karwar city on Monday morning. The thieves broke open the door at the back of the temple and stole the ornaments.

Reportedly the police were on patrol duty in the area till 4 a.m. So it is suspected that the burglary occurred after that. The Karwar town police have registered a case. — Staff Correspondent
