‘Miss Sadarame’ to be staged tomorrow

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Samashti, a theatre group, is staging a Kannada play, “Miss Sadarame” written by late K.V. Subbanna, on Wednesday. The play was originally scripted by Bellave Narahari Shastry as “Sadarame.”

Late Subbanna, the founder of the Ninasam, (Neelakanteshwara Natya Sangha), a theatre institute, has slightly altered the original play while incorporating certain changes. The story revolves around an innocent middle-class woman, Sadarame, whom a prince tries to marry, even at the cost of his kingdom and riches. He elopes to an unknown place along with her. However, the woman becomes a victim of certain greedy and cunning people. These circumstances leave her with no option but to escape from the prince and her relatives after which she is forced to lead a solitary life. For details call 9845163380.
