Couple found dead in flat

Staff Reporter

Hyderabad: A private firm executive, C. Kishore Singh, 35, and his ‘second wife’, Preeti, 30, ended their lives by hanging in their rented flat at Alwal on Monday.

Police said that the motive behind their ‘suicide’ was not yet known but have learnt that Singh, who married Preeti five months ago, keeping his parents and first wife Sweta in the dark, was facing problems in his personal life.

The couple rented a flat in Grand Villa apartment building at West Venkatapuram after getting married at Yadagirigutta.

On Sunday evening, Singh picked up Preeti from her parents’ house at Trimulgherry and returned to the flat.

As neither Preeti nor Singh came out till late on Monday morning and all the windows and the main door remained closed, the neighbours grew suspicious and called in the police.

They found the bodies of Singh and Preeti hanging from the ceiling fans after forcibly opening the doors.

Colleagues

Preeti’s parents told the police that his daughter and Singh used to work in the same office and fell in love.

But they maintained that they didn’t know he got married earlier.

Singh’s first wife was pregnant and in the house of her parents at Nizamabad.

Police registered a case of suspicious death.
