Narco test on woman postponed
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Officials of the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital and Forensic Science Laboratory have postponed the narco analysis on Kalavathi, the sole witness to the mysterious drowning of six persons in Amrithahalli recently.
She collapsed due to high blood pressure while completing the procedure for the test at Bowring Hospital on Monday afternoon.
“The test has been postponed indefinitely,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East Division) Basavaraja Malagatti told The Hindu.
The dead included Shwetha, Kalavathi’s daughter.
It is alleged that Anand, a bangle seller, allegedly pushed five women, including his daughter and wife, into a well and later committed suicide by jumping in the same well after being persuaded by a tantrik whom he consulted in his search for a hidden treasure.
The police are also contemplating on narco-analysis tests on two of Kalavathi’s neighbours, Bheema and Manjunatha, said sources at the Amrithahalli police station.
