DU Proctor’s office vandalised

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Three office-bearers of the DUSU belonging to the NSUI allegedly vandalised the office of Proctor Gurmeet Singh here on Monday following denial of a venue holding for an annual event.

“We organise ‘Youth Nexus’ every year in December. This time, however, no venue was made available to us by the authorities. The programme is always held at the University Polo Grounds. But when we approached the Proctor, he refused to give permission citing security concerns of police,” said Amit Choudhary, DUSU secretary.

“The Proctor asked us to use any college ground for the function. However, the Principals denied permission. Our request is not being entertained and no one is willing to talk to us,” he added.
