Bringing smiles to street children
As a New Year gift for children of a lesser god, PVR Nest organised a special programme in the Capital on Tuesday at Select CityWalk in Saket. As part of an initiative to bring smiles to the faces of street children, PVR Nest organised a fun-cum-knowledge-based activity for them.
Children took over the stage and recounted memorable moments of last year and talked about their desires and aspirations.
To make it a fun-based programme, PVR Nest also hosted a special screening of the new Bollywood film “Jumbo”, which is a fable-like journey of an eponymous eight-year-old boy whose life revolves around finding the real purpose in his little world.
It tells about the adventure of Jaiveer aka Jumbo, a baby elephant.
He dreams of following Yudhveer, his absent father, and becoming the royal elephant. Deepa Menon of PVR said: “It is our continuous endeavour to bring smiles on children’s faces.”
PVR Nest is the corporate social responsibility division of the PVR film company.
It is aimed at working together with government organisations and the community in general to spearhead a movement for better social conditions.
