Gold for Rathod

THODUPUZHA: Surender Singh Rathod won the gold in the men’s 50m rifle prone event in the National shooting championship, here on Tuesday.

The results: Men’s 50m rifle prone: 1. Surender Singh Rathod (Army) (794.7 points); 2. Joydeep Karmarkar (Rlys) (793); 3. Gagan Narang (AI) (792.5).

Juniors: 1. Navdeep Singh (MP) (583); 2. R. Sivanth Krishna (TN) (581); 3. Nithlesh Kumar (Army) (581).
