Inter-block sports meet to be conducted

ARIYALUR: The Ariyalur-unit of Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) will conduct district-level inter-block sports and games meet at the District Stadium here on January 9 and 10.
The events include athletics, hockey, basketball, volleyball and football for men and women.
The teams which have won the block-level tournaments conducted in hockey, basketball, volleyball and football and those who secured the first two places in the athletic events at the block-level are eligible to take part.
All the teams and individuals should report at the venue by 8 a.m.
The winners of the tournament will qualify for the State games.
The inter-block kabaddi tournament for men and women will be held on January 13 and 14.
Players will be chosen for the State Games based on their performance in the tournament.
