Rs. 22 lakhs for NEACP programme

BHUBANESWAR: The Ministry of Forest and Environment (MOEF) granted Rs 22.8 lakhs for undertaking National Environment Awareness Campaign Programme (NEACP) on climate change in Orissa.

Director of environment Bhagirathi Behera on Tuesday said Centre for Environmental Studies (CES) under the State Forest and Environment Department would act as regional resource agency for the programme.

As many as 397 non-governmental organisations working on environmental issues were roped in for NEACP on climate change, Mr. Behera said.
