Man kills wife, mother, daughter

PUDUKOTTAI: A 40-year-old man, who allegedly murdered three members of his family, later committed suicide at his residence in Vegupatti Enamedu village near Ponnamaravathy on Monday.

Police said that Murugesan murdered his wife Sumathy (30), their one-year old infant Vimala and his mother Parvathi (70) using a sharp weapon.

The body of Parvathi was found beheaded while that of Murugesan was hanging in the house, police said.

The Ponnamaravathy police have registered a case and are investigating.
