“Tamil Nadu on top in the reverse order”

CHENNAI: Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami arrived here on Tuesday by a scheduled flight.

Asked about his assessment of the situation in Thirumangalam, which is going to the polls on January 9, Mr. Gopalaswami said: “Tamil Nadu is on top in the reverse order.” Talking about the behaviour of various political parties in Thirumangalam, he said the media were reporting everything and he had nothing to add.

Regarding the complaint against Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin, Mr. Gopalaswami said the Commission had received it and would deal with it.
