THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Sports Authority of India has invited applications from talented sportspersons to join its sports hostel attached to its centre in Kollam. Sportspersons between 14 and 20 years of age and those who have excelled in athletics, boxing, taekwondo, football, kabaddi and volleyball can apply for admission. Only male candidates need to apply for admission to football and kabaddi while admission for volleyball is restricted to girls. Those interested can apply directly to the deputy director SAI, Kollam centre, Lal Bahadur stadium, Kollam-1. The application form should contain the details of the candidate’s age, address, height, sporting excellence and copies of relevant documents. The last date for submitting the application form is January 20.
