“People’s nod for Govt. works”

Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Governor, Balram Jakhar, on Wednesday said the results of the recent Assembly elections showed that the people had given their approval to the development works launched by the State Government in the last five years. In his address at the inaugural session of the 13th Assembly, the Governor said the results showed that the people had given their seal of approval to the Government’s determination to build a new Madhya Pradesh.

Mr. Jakhar said the Government had fulfilled from time to time the promises that were made in the BJP manifesto for the December 2003 Assembly elections. Work on fulfilling the promises made in the manifesto for the November 2008 Assembly elections had begun on the first day itself, he added.
