BHOPAL: Senior BJP leader Ishwardas Rohani was unanimously elected Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly here on Wednesday. Soon after the House assembled at 10-30 a.m., pro-tem Speaker Jamuna Devi announced that only Mr. Rohani’s nomination had been received for the Speaker’s post. Following this, members expressed their support for Mr. Rohani after which Ms. Jamuna Devi announced his unanimous election. Mr. Rohani was Speaker in the previous Assembly also.
