Tiruvarur: M.Chandrasekaran, Collector, visited homes for aged and children and orphanages at various places in the district and distributed sweets, fruits to them for new year and Pongal festival.

He visited Madapuram Dakshinamurthy Mutt, Arunachala Home for Mentally Retarded at Vilamal, Seva home at Ammaiyappan.

He advised the students to study well.

He appreciated the services rendered by voluntary organisations.
