MELLIFLUOUS: A poster of the film Margazhi Raagam. TIRUCHI: Carnatic music lovers could look forward to an aural and visual treat with Margazhi Raagam set to be screened for three days at the Ramba Theatre in the city from January 9. For the first time, Carnatic music is being brought out in the form of a digital movie. Bombay Jayashree and T.M. Krishna have rendered this musical treat that has been directed by Jayendra. Cinematography is by P.C. Sreeram and audiography has been done by H. Sridhar. The concert movie that lasts for 110 minutes has been made to bring out the essence of Carnatic music. The movie would be screened 9 a.m. on all three days and advance bookings are open now. With the movie raising expectations, there has been a good response already from music lovers in Tiruchi and even from those in far off centres, say the theatre staff.
