Award
The Rotaract Club of CUG, Coimbatore, honoured Emmanuel Anthony Das, Managing Director, Jade Training Resources Private Limited, Bangalore, by conferring on him the Vocational Excellence Award recently.
Scholarships
ICFAI National College, Coimbatore, organised a function in which meritorious students were given scholarships.
Twenty one students received 25 per cent and 50 per cent waiver in fee.
Consortium
A consortium for higher education and research was inaugurated at the Nehru Arts and Science College recently.
A website www.elearning.com was also launched to bring outside resources inside the classroom empowering the students with necessary skills and talents.
Research paper
P. Baba Gnanakumar, Head, Department of Commerce, Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, presented a research paper on “A Centre for Strategic Research and Information Network on India’s Global Competitiveness and WTO System” at the Indian Institute of Management. His paper was adjudged the best for theme relevance.
