Aluminium major Alcoa to cut 13,500 jobs


NEW YORK: The largest U.S. aluminium maker, Alcoa, announced on Tuesday that it would cut its global workforce by 13,500 jobs by the end of the year. The company will be cutting production, lowering its annual smelting capacity by 7.50 lakh tonnes.
