Pension disbursed to artistes

VIZIANAGARAM: MP B. Jhansi Lakshmi has said artistes are playing a key role in propagating government schemes and enlightening people on various issues.

Participating in the distribution of old-age pensions to artistes at Revenue Kalyanamandapam here on Thursday, she said that the government had extended the benefit of Rs.500 to 316 artistes from 106 beneficiaries in the past. This facility would be extended further if eligible artistes were identified, she added.
