Award for Somnath

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee has been selected for the first Baby John Memorial Award. The award has been instituted by the foundation formed to commemorate the late RSP leader Baby John. Foundation president D. Babu Paul told reporters here on Thursday evening that the award comprising Rs.1 lakh, citation and statuette would be presented at a function to be held at VJT Hall here on February 9. The foundation has decided to honour persons who excel in their field of activity.
