Gehlot’s gesture to heart patient

Jaipur: Shankar Lal can breathe easy now, thanks to the generosity of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who gave him the money he needed to have a pacemaker installed in his heart.

Mr. Lal, a resident of Ganganagar, suffered severe breathlessness which resulted in “pumping dysfunction” of his heart over the years.

Doctors finally advised him to have a CRT, the latest among pacemakers. Mr. Lal could not afford.

He turned to the Chief Minister for help and was not disappointed as Mr. Gehlot immediately released a fund of Rs. 2.7 lakh for his treatment and saved his life. — PTI
