150 washermen kiosks planned

NEW DELHI: The MP from Outer Delhi, Sajjan Kumar, has announced that he will be giving Rs.1 crore from his MP Local Area Development Fund for construction of 150 kiosks for people belonging to “dhobi samaj” (washermen) in his constituency.

The kiosks, he said, would come up in Dakshinpuri, Ambedkar Nagar, Madangir, Tigri, Khanpur, Gautampuri and Vikashpuri and provide the community a permanent place to operate from.

The MCD would also spend around Rs.25 lakh, he added.
