VELLORE: The Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology (TPGIT), Vellore, is organising an International Conference on Advanced Communication and Informatics (ICACI-2009) on the institute premises here from Sunday. Members of the academic and industrial sectors will present their works, and share new ideas and visions on the present and future trends in communication and informatics. ICACI-2009 will consist of three plenary sessions with speeches by world experts from foreign countries, and 13 technical sessions. Dirk Van Dalen and Theodora from Utrecht University, Netherlands, and Klaus Kieter Lukoschus from the University of Gelsenkirchen, Germany, will present the plenary sessions. A total of 114 papers will be presented in the technical sessions. P. Mannar Jawahar, Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Chennai, will inaugurate the conference at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday. P. Ramamoorthy, Principal, TPGIT, will preside over the inaugural function. V. Palanisamy, Principal, Info Institute of Engineering, Coimbatore, will release the conference proceedings. Elwin Chandra Monie, Additional Director of Technical Education, will deliver the valedictory address and distribute certificates to the participants at the valedictory function to be held at 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
