Assistance to leprosy-affected

KARUR: District Collector J. Uma Maheswari gave away a pair of footwear, welfare benefits and financial assistance to 52 leprosy-affected persons in Karur. The assistance was extended under the aegis off Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Tiruchy Multi Purpose Social Service Society. Besides, some of them got money under the Department of Rehabilitation’s Marriage Assistance Scheme.
