Kochi Police to launch anti-terror campaign

KOCHI: The City Police will launch its campaign against terrorism with much glitter and show. Actor Shah Rukh Khan is expected to be among the leading film stars from Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and cricketers to be present for the show to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium on January 26.

Minister for Home, Vigilance and Tourism, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate ‘Aspirations’, the Janamaitri Anti-Terrorism campaign. The show will be based on the theme of fight against terrorism.

The slogan for the campaign “Kochiite alert – report any suspect terrorism activity” will be released on the occasion, along with launching an anti-terrorism toll-free helpline number. The City Police had been running a campaign through its New Year greeting cards. With the show, this campaign will be taken up in a full-fledged manner. Marking the current year as ‘Anti-Terrorism Year’, the City Police are launching a multi-pronged campaign to cover all sections of society.
