BANGALORE: Mentally challenged children ran, played and laughed at the Rama Mandira Grounds at Rajajinagar on Friday. Drawn from more than 20 schools, the children took part in various competitions held as part of the sports meet organised by the Rajajinagar Youth and Social Service Association.

The event turned out to be an opportunity for the parents and teachers of mentally challenged to identify the sporting ability of their wards. Sports meet for mentally challenged is being organised by the association for the 12th consecutive year, said its president D. Lokesh.

Students of Cluny Convent School, Malleswaram, won the overall championship.
