Bomb hoax creates flutter

VIZIANAGARAM: Rumour about a crude bomb on 471 Vijayawada-Rayagada passenger train caused panic among passengers and they ran helter-skelter leaving behind their baggage on platform no. 5 of the railway station here on Saturday morning. In the melee, a few passengers sustained injuries and some lost valuables, including gold ornaments.

Sub-Inspector (GRPF) B.V. Venkateswara Rao, said that some miscreants taking advantage of the heavy rush for Sankranti spread word that a bomb planted in one of the general compartments may go off at any time.
