INFC in super league
NEW DELHI: Indian National Football Club (INFC) edged past City Club 1-0 to reach the super league stage of the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) annual senior division Open clubs championship at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday.
In a closely fought Group ‘B’ preliminary league match, Gyan Moyon netted the winner for INFC in the 46th minute. He headed home from close range after receiving a fine cross from substitute Nigerian N.D. Opara.
INFC has 10 points from four games while City has one from four.
Royal Rangers rode on Nima Tamang’s 32nd minute goal to pip Indian Air Force (New Delhi) 1-0 in a Group ‘A’ match and move into the super league.
Rangers has 10 points from five matches while IAF has none from five. — Sports Reporter
