Four centres have been set up in Davangere The initiative is on until January 30 DAVANGERE: The Food and Civil Supplies Department will undertake a special drive to provide ration cards to all eligible beneficiaries from Monday to January 30. The department has, in a statement issued here on Saturday, said that four centres have been set up at four different places in the city to help people get ration cards. The centres are the APMC yard, Janata Bazar, Ashiya Shadi Mahal and Hondada Circle here. Those who have not got Below Poverty Line cards or Above Poverty Line cards so far, although eligible, can approach any one of the above centres close to their residences. An application for issue of card should be submitted along with a stamp paper of Rs. 20. The department has made arrangements to photograph all eligible applicants at the centres. After scrutinizing the applications, cards will be issued to applicants from January 30. Those who have Above Poverty Line cards and are now eligible for Below Poverty Line cards can also submit applications. The department has directed those who intend to get the cards to bring all members of their families above the age of 12 to get photographed.
