D. Raja, Gowda hold talks on third front

Bangalore: The prospects of a non-Bharatiya Janata Party, non-Congress combine as a political alternative in Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections were discussed at a breakfast meeting between national secretary of the Communist Party of India D. Raja, and president of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda here on Sunday.
Mr. Raja met Mr. Gowda along with S. Sudhakar Reddy, MP and deputy general secretary of the CPI, Siddanagowda Patil, State secretary of the CPI, and party leader M.C. Narasimhan. “We discussed the third front that the CPI, CPI (M) and the JD(S) will forge with the Telugu Desam in Andhra Pradesh and the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.”
