Recognition of services to the development of agriculture
Ceremony will be held at the Collectorate on January 17
NALGONDA: The district administration has decided to felicitate and award cash incentives to the meritorious farmers, officials and bankers who excelled in the agriculture and other fields at Sankranthi Puraskaram ceremony to be held in the town on January 17.
Collector M. Purushotham Reddy told The Hindu that the government had decided to honour the best farmers as well as the officers of the agriculture, horticulture, sericulture and other related spheres besides the bankers concerned in recognition of their distinguished services to the development of agriculture and other allied fields on the occasion of Sankranthi.
The programme has been designed to motivate the farmers and others concerned to contribute with much more dedication and to acknowledge the contributions already made for the comprehensive development of agriculture and other allied sectors which holds the key to the overall development of the economy and society.
The Sankranthi Puraskaram ceremony will be held at the Collectorate at 11 a.m. on January 17.
