Karakush in Champagne is the best

CHENNAI: Afghan Hound ‘Can. Ch.Am. Ch. Gr. Ch. Karakush in Champagne’ (owned by K.S. Nagraj Setty) won the best in show in both the 88th Mrs. Leela Ratnam Memorial Ch. Dog and the 89th Championship Dog Show, organised by The Madras Canine Club at the Union grounds on Sunday.

Rodi Hubenthal and Wera Hubenthal of Norway were the judges. M. Subramanian, Mayor, Chennai Corporation, gave away the prizes. C.V. Sudarsan, President, Madras Canine Club, was also present on the occasion.

The results: 88th Mrs. Leela Ratnam Memorial Ch. Dog show: Best in show: Can. Ch.Am. Ch. Gr. Ch. Karakush in Champagne (owned by K.S. Nagraj Setty); Second best in show: Legrand’s The Little Monster (owned by Vetri Duraisamy); Third best in show: Daffy (R. Shyam); Fourth best: Ch. Warwick Kathrich Camille (Nagraj Setty); Fifth best: Th. Ch. Lapitthi’s Tiger Tank (Vetri Duraisamy); Sixth best: Ch. Shady CRKS MR Saturday Nite Special (Yadwinder Singh); Seventh best: Holy Ground’s Special Edition (Kalpana Setty); Eighth best: Dutchman Rich (V. Subash); Best in show bred in India: Legrand’s The Little Monster (Vetri Duraisamy); Best puppy in show: Legrand’s Dream Come True (Vetri Duraisamy).
