BHUBANESWAR: Public sector power major NTPC Limited would set up two ultra power projects in the State , said company’s Chairman and Managing Director R. S. Sharma at Talcher. The location for the two major projects would be Darlipalli in Sundargarh district and Gajamara in Dhenkanal district, NTPC said in a release here on Monday. Pointing out that the State would have a major role in the power map of India, Mr. Sharma said the company decided to expand the existing 460 MW Talcher Thermal Power Station (TTPS) adding two units of 660 MW each. NTPC planned to add additional capacity of 22,000 MW by 11th Plan, NTPC CMD said addressing employees of TTPS, Kanhia during his recent visit to the station last week. Mr. Sharma also met representatives of various NTPC employees unions and discussed with them on issues pertaining to the plant. Building inauguratedHe inaugurated the new constructed administration building in the presence of regional executive director (East –II) Viswaroop, Executive Director S. N. Banerjee, general manager (commercial) S. N. Goel and general manager (operation and maintenance) S. K. Singh.
