India meets Hong Kong

NEW DELHI: India, led by skipper Baichung Bhutia, will play a friendly match against Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Stadium on Wednesday. It is part of a programme that includes more international friendly matches in preparation for the 2011 Asian Cup.

According to National coach Bob Houghton, “the team has worked hard for the friendly and is in good form. Both Baichung and Rennedy (Singh) are fit to play in Wednesday’s match but they will not be playing the entire 90 minutes.

“The team certainly wants to keep the momentum going. The team will be more or less the same that played in the AFC challenge Cup final,” Houghton said. — Special Correspondent
